<li>Vegetables in this group include:<br />peanuts, cucumbers, potatoes, dill, leeks, chili peppers, eggplant, garlic, chives, artichoke, tomatoes, and most berries.</li>

<li>Flowers in this group:<br />rhododendrons, begonias, azaleas, heathers, hydrangeas (for blue blooms).</li>
</ul>

<li>Roses grow most vibrantly with pH 5.5 &#8211; 6.5, in this caste use slightly less acidic water with a pH level of 6.0 or even neutral water with a pH level of 7.0 and see which one yields the healthiest roses with your particular soil.</li>

This will create 4 billion pounds of trash, which will cost our communities $70 million to clean up. Bottled water is not safer, better tasting or more convenient than tap. So why do Americans keep reaching for more and more bottled water?</p>
<p>Bottled water is inaccurately perceived as the healthiest water choice. We have images of clean mountain streams and bubbling springs of pure water, but the reality is that a lot of bottled water is derived from municipal water.(2)</p>
<p>The purification process removes everything from bottled water not just pollutants, leaving the water void of any nutrients and benefits that are naturally in pure water. The purified water is then placed into a plastic bottle, which may leach contaminants into your drink. The production of bottled water required approximately 1 million tons of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastics in 2006(3). PET are petroleum-derived plastics that have been suspected of leaching hormone-disrupting chemicals into the water.(4)</p>
<p><strong>Ounce for ounce bottled water costs more than gasoline and anywhere from 250 to 10,000 times more than tap water.</strong></p>

<p>With the following tips and guidelines, you can hit the gym or pavement with more confidence than before. It takes good planning, knowledge, and support to reach your fitness goals. When you take time to plan specific targets and develop a strategy for reaching them, you&#8217;ll find it easier to reach your goals and your plan will be more sustainable. With effort and discipline you will soon surpass your fitness goals and start aiming even higher.</p>

<li>Setting short term goals will allow you to reach your long term goal. When setting your goals, it is important to be realistic and know your true fitness level. Listed below are two of the easiest ways to assess your fitness level:</li>
</ul>

<li>Test your endurance. Walk for one mile and record your time and physical reactions. Are you completely spent or ready to walk another mile? Check your pulse rate before and after your walk.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Test your flexibility. Stand up tall with your legs straight and see how far you can reach. Can you touch your knees or toes?</li>
</ul>
<p>You may even surprise yourself with how much you can do already!</p>
<p>When planning your fitness routine, remember to include both cardio and strength training. Strength training is especially important if your goal is weight loss. It will keep your metabolism up for two days! Your metabolism is the rate at which your body burns excess calories. The higher your metabolism the more calories it will burn. For every 3500 excess calories your body burns, you can lose one pound of fat. This is why people with higher metabolisms tend to be slimmer.</p>
<p>You should aim for three days of strength training and four days of cardio. It is important to rest between your strength training workouts. This will allow your muscles to repair themselves.</p>
<p>Remember to stay sufficiently hydrated while you exercise. Roughly 2 hours before your routine, try drinking 16 ounces of water, and again around 30 minutes before you start. Your water needs will vary depending on your location and the intensity of your workout. The hotter the environment, or the harder you push yourself, the more hydration you will need.</p>
